Photoshop Exercise:

We had two assignments we needed to complete, both of which involved heavy editing in Photoshop. One image had to be a believable edit, something that would convince the viewer everything was taken with the camera. The other fantastic: no restrictions to the imagination, anything was fare game (as long as it had original image making). In all my career as an art student, I truly feel the most accomplished creating this one image. Out of everything I've ever made while I was studying at SAIC this one image is the crown of all my achievements.

For those who don't know, this was originally a photo of my father I took while he was popping some wheelies at a trail in Phoenix.

Color Photo Project:

We had a new assignment were we needed to experiment with some advanced black & white printing methods. I picked a landscape, color photo I took over the summer in Arizona. My goal for this particular picture was to create a color contrast using the green grass and orange shore line. Using camera RAW I re-assigned colors in a subtle manner so that there was an interesting play between the complimentary colors. In critique someone mentioned that both this image was super sharp and it reminded them of a Jeff Wall photo. I took that as a compliment.
